Habitability and Behavioral Issues of Space FlightUniversity of Houston Group behavioral issues from past space missions and simulations such as the Skylab Medi cal Experiments Altitude Test, Skylab missions, and Shuttle Spacelab I mission are reviewed. Recommendations for future flights are made about commandership, crew selection, and ground-crew communications. Pre- and in-flight behavioral countermeasures are suggested for crew isolation, mission control stress, groupthink, and interpersonal conflict.
